The catch-up of the Edmonton Oilers in the NHL continues – and Leon Draisaitl contributes much to it. The 26-year-old scored two hits at the 7: 2 at the Montreal Canadiens. For the Oilers, the fourth victory in series was previously seven defeats. Draisaitl has scored 31 seasonal scores in 40 season games and introduces the league in this statistic.
Kane meets immediately
With the oilers, Evander Kane (30) contributed to the scorer list. Edmonton had only signed the Canadian one day before. Kane was locked in October because of a violation of the Corona protocol for 21 games, the San Jose Sharks had separated from him at the beginning of January.
US media had reported that Kane had noticed a fake vaccination certificate. The NHL never confirmed this. Previously, Kane was the twilight because of his preference for gambling games and had missed the training camp of the Californians due to allegations of domestic violence.
Detroit loses against Toronto
At least personally well it ran for Moritz Seider. The 20-year-old defensive player of Detroit Red Wings gave two templates, but could not prevent the 4: 7 home defeat against the Toronto Maple Leafs. At the beginning of the last third, the Red Wings were still 4: 2 at the front, but five goals of the Canadians within ten minutes turned the game. Thus, the play-off hopes for Detroit are wandering.
Tim Support (20) remained at 1: 2 of the Ottawa Senators against Anaheim Ducks without goal participation.
